The Teenagers

I actually wrote about these guys a while back, but it was a weak post. I'll give them proper credit right here right now. They do their own material, but they also venture into the remix realm. Their latest effort is a remix of The Bomb by New Young Pony Club, and it delivers as usual. I can't just post one track, so I am also including a remix of one their songs by Guns 'n Bombs (who are great by the way). Enjoy!

Shout Out Louds

This band has been around for sometime now, but I haven't mentioned them -- Shout Out Louds from Stockholm, Sweden. Currently, they are working on completing their long awaited second album with Bjšrn Yttling (Peter, Bjorn & John) at the helm. Their Combines EP came out back in '06, featuring a new single plus remixes of songs off the Howl Howl Gaff Gaff LP. I posted 2 tracks off the EP and a remix of The Comeback that I'm not sure who did it. There is a Tommy Sunshine remix out there (it's got to be it). If someone knows, please let me know! I wasn't going to post it, not knowing who remixed it, but it's too great a track!

Kieran Hebden and Steve Reid

Kieran Hebden aka Four Tet, and legendary drummer Steve Reid have finished
a wicked album of great depth. It sounds like nothing I can think of -- scattered, yet polished.
It's such a great collaboration! I've posted two mind wandering tracks:

The Sun Never Sets
Superheroes
_ _

Domino Records

KAVINSKY

Kavinsky is a zombie in need of revenge, killed when he crashed his Ferrari Testarossa in 1986. His records are the story of his first steps in the world of the living dead. Put this on while driving at night and he will let you live.

off his 1986 EP: Wayfarer
off his Teddy Boy 12 inch --> Testarossa Autodrive

Cyann & Ben

Cyann and Ben, hailing from Paris, have been around for some time now; yet they still maintain to fly under the radar. Their music requires patience. It is dreamy. It is dark. It has a life of its own. Just let it unravel, swirl and crawl around you. And like a good bottle of wine, you must let it open up.

I've posted 2 tracks.

** the single of the latest release Sweet Beliefs: Sunny Morning
** a fave off 2004 release Happy Like an Autumn Tree: Obsessing and Screaming Voice in A Shell
